Creation of a new build farm shop within a busy existing garden centre.  Constructed using a mixture of traditional and modern materials, including a Douglas Fir timber frame from Stansted’s own forest, steel frame and mezzanine floor, handmade bricks with lime mortar and slate roof tiles. Having been consulted regarding the design early in the project, Ascia were able to manage the process so that the structural and architectural elements of the build met seamlessly without compromise.
